One of the advantages of running an agency in Minnesota is that "health care" is a hub here in "fly over" land. At ABGD, we have more than Mayo Clinic to thank for that national perception. The largest HMO in the country is located here (and the concept itself was pioneered in Minnesota). The world's largest social media site devoted to people with critical illnesses was started here, and we don't even need to get started on Medtronic (the first pacemaker) and numerous other medical technologies innovated by people with mainly Scandinavian sounding names.
We're not entirely sure about that last assertion, but we're certain the ability to innovate in health care around here has something to do with our Scandinavian style climate. There's little else to do on short, cold winter days but take care of yourself, and others.
